ABOUT US

OUR GOAL is to provide Canadians and Europeans who spend a significant part of the year in the United States with information on subject areas of interest to them. We provide information on areas as diverse as Medical Emergency Decision Making, which is governed by State law and therefore changes from one state to another, to the federal law (same in each state) which governs the sale by Canadians and Europeans of United States located real estate. We cannot provide information on all subject areas, however we think we have selected two areas of great importance to our audience.

THE TIME YOU SPEND WITH YOUR PROFESSIONAL ADVISERS IS VALUABLE. Our goal is to maximize the benefit you receive from that time by equipping you with the information you need to ask informed questions and accomplish informed plans.

WE ACCOMPLISH our goals by providing preliminary information via web based commentary and direct interaction with our INFORMATION SPECIALISTS via e-mail and/or the telephone.

SENIOR INFORMATION SPECIALIST

James F. Pugsley is our primary Information Specialist. Mr. Pugsley is uniquely qualified to provide assistance to you and your professional advisers with respect to the issues considered in our web site. Although Mr. Pugsley is not licensed to practice law in the United States , he, in addition to his Ontario law degree, is an Honor Society Juris Doctor (J.D.) graduate of the University of Detroit Law School and graduated with an LLM in Taxation from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan . Mr. Pugsley is a long standing adjunct faculty member of the Michigan State University Law School where he teaches a course in Tax Treaties. MR.
